Daniel Kuria Wanjiru the school’s top student in the 2010 KCSE (A) continued his outstanding academic career by being awarded a Distinction for his Masters in Science in Foreign Service, Global Business and Finance at the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington, DC (USA).
Daniel who came to Brother Beausang Catholic Education Centre (now ERCEC) in 2007 from Embulbul Primary school has been working and studying in the USA the past few on a World Bank funded scholarship. Daniel was sponsored during his time at BBCEC / ERCEC and also for his studies at Strathmore University in Actuarial Science thanks to the Beausang Tertiary Support scheme funded by former St. Bernard’s Australia Board chairperson Peter Hogan’s great band of supporters.
Daniel is the third former BBCEC / ERCEC student to study in the USA – Rick Wakaria (2014 KCSE A) at Swarthmore in Pennsylvania and Brian Nzuki (2016 KCSE A-) at Harvard in Boston. Daniel, Rick and Brian are great examples of truly living out the school motto “ Carpe diem / Seize the day).

As a parent, Entrusting my student to Edmund Rice Catholic Education Centre has been amongst the wisest decision ive ever made. The growth in her was evident afer some time in the facility. How nicely she presented herself and her behavours reflected what she was exposed to in school. The school has moulded her to the strong young lady i'm proud of!!
